Site Safe offers a variety of training courses

Site Safe New Zealand is dedicated to reducing deaths and injuries in construction. As an independent, not-for-profit, industry-wide organisation, its aim is to promote improvements in the health and safety practices of the construction industry.

The Site Safe website contains information about a variety of training courses available. The new Workplace Safety Course, which is aimed at people who have previously attended up to two Passport Safety Courses, is an ideal course for those who want to take their general on-site safety knowledge, including Site Specific Safety Planning, to the next level.

One of the great new developments from Site Safe is the Certificate in Construction Site Safety. This new Certificate is a Level 3 programme that will require students to complete a minimum of 40 credits to achieve the Certificate. The programme will be officially launched in September this year in conjunction with an inaugural graduation ceremony. There are two streams to the qualification, one for those more interested in a management or supervisory focus and one for those primary involved in site work.
