Inter-agency data group

The NZIPS Secretariat regularly convenes an inter-agency and research provider group to co-ordinate injury data developments such as the NZIPS serious injury outcome indicators. This group met 21st May 2007 and reviewed progress with several data projects that are currently underway within the agencies. Representatives from Alcohol Advisory Council (ALAC), ACC Injury Prevention and Research teams, Ministry of Health, Statistics NZ, Ministry of Transport, IPRU, and the National Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Committee (NOHSAC) attended the meeting.

One of the outcomes from the meeting was the need to develop a more defined framework around the development of the serious injury indicators as well as the disablement indicators.
