Have your say
All individuals and organisations with an interest in the future direction of injury prevention in New Zealand are invited to contribute to the evaluation by making a submission.
Closing date: 5.00 pm on Friday 25 September 2009.
To make a submission
The evaluation is effectively seeking to provide information around three key questions:
- What is working well as a result of the New Zealand Injury Prevention Strategy and should be continued or expanded?
- What are the main barriers to achieving reductions in injuries?
- What should be the priorities for injury prevention activity in New Zealand taking account of effectiveness and costs? And why?
In your submission please identify which of these you are addressing and any other factors that influence your views.
It would be helpful if you describe any special topics that your comments relate to such as:
- The sector as a whole or local issues/approaches
- Location of incident - home, road, workplace, sport/recreation
- Sector capacity and capability – leadership, knowledge, infrastructure, workforce
- Organisational sectors - central government, local government, private organisations, non-government organisations, community, individuals
- 'At risk' categories - alcohol, children, ethnicity, elderly.
